Barbara Herzig, Partner

Barbara Herzig is a partner at Herzig & Berlese. She received her undergraduate degree from New York University and graduated with highest honors from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1977. While at Golden Gate, she was on Golden Gate Law Review and authored State Sovereignty's Impact on Federal Regulation of Municipal Securities with her collegue, Peggy Berlese.

A director of the San Francisco Association of Realtors and a Board Member of San Francisco's Coalition for Better Housing, Barbara is actively involved in San Francisco real estate politics, often reviews proposed legislation on behalf of the Coalition for Better Housing and the San Francisco Apartment Association, and has drafted proposed legislation and ballot measures for those organizations. She is also a lecturer on subdivision issues in San Francisco.

Peggy Berlese, Of Counsel

Peggy Berlese is Of Counsel at Herzig & Berlese. She received her undergraduate degree from University of California, Davis and graduated with highest honors from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1977. While at Golden Gate, she was on Golden Gate Law Review and authored State Sovereignty's Impact on Federal Regulation of Municipal Securities with her collegue, Barbara Herzig.

In the past, she has served as a director of Lake Savings & Loan Association, been a volunteer Hearing Officer at the San Francisco Residential Rent Stabilization and Arbitration Board, and sat on a committee charged with drafting updated Subdivision Regulations for the San Francisco Bureau of Street-Use and Mapping.
